A Soulful of Whispers takes us to the crossroads of reality and a dream-like world. As one grows older, one looks back, fleetingly at first, then more deliberately. What did I achieve? What must I focus on? Such interrogations are kindled by a growing sense of nostalgia for bygone years. Matthieu Zellweger embraces blurriness and crepuscular light close up: storytelling elements to engage viewers in a subjective and introspective experience, and to symbolize the constant flux inherent to the passage of time. This journey questions the (porous) boundary between reality and imagination and encourages us to immerse ourselves in the beauty of distant memories.
