Wasted Youth (Марна молодість)

Wasted Youth gathers more than 300 photographs from Sasha Kurmaz's long-term project begun in 2009, spanning ten years of creative experimentation in Kyiv. Photography becomes an intimate diary — a way of interacting with the space around him and a tool for studying people, the city and post-Soviet society. Raw, defiant and intimate, the book captures the fleeting intensity of youth: its beauty, rage, disillusionment and desire to feel something. With essays by Nadiia Bernard-Kovalchuk and Boris Mikhailov.
