Witness of Whiteness

“Witness of Whiteness” is an invitation to the silent places where horizons merge into shades of white and where the white defines the horizon event. As a photographer, I am fascinated by witnessing the fleeting moments when nature, under specific circumstances and on her own terms, creates simple and clean compositions in which I find emotions that are both fundamental and universal. Capturing such visually reduced vistas creates a moment of respite in an otherwise complicated and complex network of reality. The paradox of the certainty that less is more, that the minimal hint of a landscape becomes larger in our minds as a result of our own perception, allow us an opportunity to stand still and accept „the white space“ as a mirror to our own inner space. The snow, the sky, the fog or waters frozen by time can evoke a dialogue, a poem or a piece of music.
