Panamera is the result of numerous explorations of the ‘Grand Paris’. Recently settled in the French capital, Swiss photographer Younès Klouche has taken an interest in the city’s successive major urban projects, all of which seem to share a common objective: to control, channel and ultimately tame the real strength of Paris, which is its density, abundance and uncontrollable vitality. By composing an archaeology of the different urban utopias that have succeeded one another, Younès Klouche’s photographs provide a panorama of a European metropolis in which a precarious relationship is being played out between the political ambitions that are changing the urban landscape and the people who live there.
