Constant Exposure is a picture story formed from myriad fragments of TV imagery – the playful product of mixing “the wrong pieces of information”. Grownd breaking when it appeared in 1987, Constant Exposure anticipates cyberspace with a playful take on the ‘mediafication’ of reality. The work weaves a humorous narrative around the myths and images of media culture.

Paul Trevor’s Constant Exposure, a patchwork print of black-and-white television stills, looks just like life in the age of the smartphone, quite a feat when you consider that it was created back in the 1980s.
