What inspired you to start publishing books?
It’s a wish to edit a sequence and control a distribution of your own work, which sometimes takes a long time and requires significant effort in a production.
What draws you to the photobook as a format?
Mostly, it’s a lack of opportunities for emerging artists, and the possibility to show your work in full.
How has your practice changed over time?
Practice is evolving gradually and without notice)
What's a book you've been involved with that surprised you — either in how it came together or how it landed?
I like how our only offset-printed photo book (300 copies), 'Infrastructures' (with Max Sher as a co-author), a massive page-turner, was compiled and distributed worldwide while we were in Russia. It looks like an act of resistance now.
What's next for you?
Another solid paper brick on the topic of urban gentrification in London, and a couple of reprints of the previous, now discontinued titles next year.
