London in May. Returning to the city after 21 years, I had only three days to explore. Instead of chasing landmarks, I stepped out of the subway station onto a single street labeled “A11” on my phone’s map. For three days, I walked only this stretch—into the city center and back again, over and over, in a continuous loop.
Falling into a meditative rhythm, I began photographing instinctively without stopping, composing, or focusing. My camera became a tool of pure abstraction: blurry, cropped, and enigmatic images of strangers and fleeting street details that suggest reality rather than depict it.
Back home, these instinctive street shots were intertwined with photographs of ancient gemstones taken at the Natural History Museum—juxtaposing the transient, noisy pulse of the city with timeless, silent structures.
LOOP is an exploration of photography as personal perception: a reflection on how we navigate space, find meaning in the mundane, and construct our own version of reality.
