Daniel Salemi - Firm , 2016 Firm is a collection of photographs documenting the architecture of office buildings throughout Manhattan. A viewpoint that is not from observation decks, lobbies, or streets. They are places that are generally inaccessible to the common city-goer. Massive structures become completely malleable by navigating through their negative space. These photographs reveal private, intimate moments of buildings - vulnerable despite their monumental presence. Daniel Salemi (b. 1985, Providence, RI United States) is a photographer currently living and working in New York City. Salemi's work investigates architecture as perpetual assimilation of material and shape. Daniel attempts to document the absence of culturally distinctive characteristics in architecture and the lives these spaces lead independently of the humans that brought them into existence.
